St Margaret's Church, Braemar

Beautiful Scottish Episcopal Church sitting redundant and in a state of dereliction. We are working towards developing it into a community-inspired arts space.

This church is a wonderful example of religious heritage. It has unfortunately already lost a great deal of its important historic fabric due to water ingress. In partnership with the local Reverend, the Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney and by working closely with local residents we hope to find a sustainable new use that will protect the character of the building.

We are bringing our expertise and experience working with multiple project partners to the project. It is vital that the new use is relevant and of benefit for the community and we are ensuring there is an open dialogue with residents to ensure this is achieved.

Scottish Enterprise and Aberdeenshire County Council have contributed funding in order to carry out market research. We held a Planning Day which came up with a number of different uses - the favoured being a centre for art, craft and design.
