The Prince’s Regeneration Trust and The Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust are delighted to announce that the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has provided a grant of approximately a quarter of a million pounds towards the renovation of Old Duchy Palace, Lostwithiel.
The ERDF was set up to benefit regional and local economies by supporting projects that may not have gone ahead without public funding.
This is another positive step towards carrying out the alterations and repairs necessary to secure the long-term future of this Grade I listed building. The work will be conducted in a way that respects and honours the heritage of this hugely important building while renovating it into a creative enterprise and commercial space. This will bolster the local economy and create job and training opportunities.
This is great news locally and the story was covered in the local press: "Duchy Palace Will Provide Boost for Local Jobs"
