The Scottish government’s culture secretary will be speaking at a regeneration roadshow in West Lothian that aims to help communities save the buildings they love.
Heritage experts from leading regeneration charity The Prince’s Regeneration Trust (PRT) will be hosting their 14th BRICK workshop in Linlithgow, near Edinburgh, on Tuesday 15th September.
The event aims to provide expert advice and support to community groups and not-for-profit organisations across Scotland that are involved in heritage-led regeneration projects.
Those speaking include Fiona Hyslop, the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Europe and External Affairs and MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency. There will also be representatives from the Scottish Government’s Community Empowerment Team and West Lothian Council.
PRT’s BRICK education programme seeks to equip community groups with the necessary skills and expertise to save and reuse cherished local buildings as well as to build a better future for their communities.
The Workshop takes place at Linlithgow Burgh Halls, Linlithgow, just outside Edinburgh, from 10.00am to 4.30pm.
