Are you part of an exciting heritage project? Want to meet like-minded groups from Yorkshire and further afield to get inspiration for how to move your project forward? Then the BRICK programme could help!

The Prince’s Regeneration Trust is organising its first BRICK workshop at the Milton Rooms in Malton for community groups in the area that are working to save their heritage for the benefit of their community. Over the course of the day the workshop will cover topics including:
  • Ideas to options - how to get the most value from a commercial use through franchises, leases and rental
  • Building your team - working with project partners
  • Innovative financing - raising funds through community shares; working with the private sector, including views from a developer's perspective

Speakers include representatives of the Ethical Property Foundation, Hugh Rolo from Locality, Chris Brown from Igloo and Jess Steele from Jericho Road Solutions. The event will also feature interactive sessions and surgeries with the speakers, as well as presentations from a couple of community lead regeneration projects in the region  - Grimsby Ice Factory and Portland Works in Sheffield - and a tour of the venue, which is itself a regeneration project. The day will be chaired by Ros Kerslake, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust’s Chief Executive.

Registration includes a fee of £15.75 + VAT and processing fee.
A small number of travel bursaries of up to £25 per person are available. Please email us if you would like to apply, stating the amount and reasons for applying. Maximum two bursaries per community group will be available.
